Dr. Tommy Wood is a Research Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the University of Washington Division of Neonatology. The majority of his academic work has focused on developing therapies for brain injury in newborn infants, but also includes adult neurodegenerative and metabolic diseases, as well as nutritional approaches to sports performance. Tommy received an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge before obtaining his medical degree from the University of Oxford. After working as a doctor in central London, he moved to Norway for his PhD work, and then to the University of Washington as a postdoc. Alongside his academic training, Tommy has coached athletes in a dozen sports, from weekend warriors to Olympians and world champions. Lucy Mailing, PhD is a microbiome researcher, science educator, and passionate scholar of integrative, evidence-based gut health.

Howard Benedikt, DC, DCBCN is a chiropractor and a board-certified nutritionist. He did his undergraduate work at Queens College and then attended the National University of Health Sciences where he obtained his DC degree. He was awarded with his MS in Nutrition from the CW Post campus of Long Island University and his diplomate in nutrition from the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition.

Dr. Benedikt taught at the Julliard School of Music, New York Chiropractic College and presently teaches CE courses in nutrition for CCED Seminars, DC Hours and Pro credits CE.
